The Lake Michigan Surf Co was founded in 2020, and has been providing quality to the public ever since. Located in Lansing, Lake Michigan Surf Co over does all kinds of awesome things for the Lansing community. Lake Michigan has the most options when it comes to choosing where to surf, but the two most notable are Check Seol Choix Point and Sheboygan. Check Seol Choix Point is located right next to a lighthouse and is said to draw in crowds of surfers from all over Michigan and even from Canada. On the shores of Lake Michigan, the city of Sheboygan is the freshwater surf capital of the world, boasting some of the best waves on the Great Lakes. Lake surfers enjoy water that is fresh (“sweet” as opposed to salty) and do not have to worry about the dangers from marine life (e.g. sharks, jellyfish, etc.) that ocean surfers may have to contend with. Waves on the Great lakes are caused by wind, often from storms as well, as it blows across the surface of the lake water.
